Athleisure Designer and Owner of FITMAMA
This Colombian Industrial Engineer has been part of the fitness industry for almost 3 decades, but her appearance into the Athleisure world came later in 2013 when her drive and her own need to find workout clothes that looked and felt great inspired Boom to launch her own athleisure line: FIT MAMA. The apparel line, designed and manufactured solely by Boom, includes tops, bottoms and unitards with unique designs and developed in high technology and/or recycled fabrics mostly manufactured in Colombia or Brasil.
As a mom, athleisure designer and fitness enthusiast, Boom has the unique insight needed to connect with her clients based on personal experience. FIT MAMA empowers women to feel strong and capable in spite of the many roles they play in a single day.
Boom was also an American Council on Exercise (ACE®) certified personal trainer and a certified pre and postnatal physical conditioning instructor. She created her own prenatal and postnatal fitness methodology and for 15 years, she owned and operated Belly-n-Kicks®, the first and only studio in Miami that was dedicated solely to pre and postnatal fitness.
The gym offered a complete program dedicated to keeping women on the path of fitness during their pregnancies and to recuperating their figures after giving birth. This was crafted from her own need to stay in shape while she was pregnant.

After having her son Oliver, Boom wrote the book “Oliver and his Boom Bike”, inspired in her young son and that teaches kids from an early age about the importance of being active. Another goal of the book was to teach kids the importance of exercise in the household, and how the whole family should take part. Boom and her husband John Keeler are active cyclists and give great importance to passing that habit along to kids.
Erika also owned BOOM Cycling, a company that manufactured and commercialized carbon bike frames where the proceed of sales went into sponsoring junior cycling teams. She also founded with other 2 partners, the Rosebandits, and all female cycling team at a time where the sports was mostly male dominated.
Erika currently lives between Miami, Florida and Barranquilla, Colombia with her husband John Keeler and their son Oliver. She is an Avid Hybrid Athlete that mixes her passion for Road Cycling, Strength Training and the TA Movement Method. Her brand FIT MAMA is a direct reflection of her active and hybrid lifestyle.
